Steven R. Ovendale
December 25, 1961 – June 12, 2014


Steve Ovendale, 52, died on or about June 12, 2014. He was born in Long Beach, CA, on December 25, 1961. For much of his life, Steve struggled with the insidious disease of alcoholism and depression. Sadly, he saw no way out.
While in the end he would not agree, Steve was loved and his life had meaning because without him this world would not be blessed with his three beautiful children: his son, Nicolas Steven Ovendale (22) of Valencia, CA; his daughters, Alexandra Aliena Francis (16) of Kula, HI, and Chloe Ualani Ovendale (13) of Federal Way, WA.
Steve is also survived by his sister, Cindy Cruciotti, of Elizabeth, CO. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bertram Ovendale, and his mother, Gloria Jean Ovendale (Gearhart).
With heartfelt gratitude, the family thanks all of those who cared for, counseled, and reached out to Steve during his life.
A scattering of his ashes will be held by the family in the future per his wishes.
