Condolence: Mr. Kirk was my English lit teacher when I was a senior at Renton High School in 1965/66. I remember him as a gentle man who loved teaching and literature. I don't remember that he ever raised his voice or talked down to any of us. I'm sure he helped shape my love for learning and still renew my subscription to The Atlantic because of him - 50 years later. I wish that I had let him know while he was alive what an inspiring role model he was to me and, I'm sure, many others.
