Obituary for Gordon Johnson

Gordon Dell Johnson, 84, passed away on January 16, 2005 in Puyallup, WA. Born to Nathaniel T. and Frieda (Ehlers) Johnson on May 19, 1920 in Burley, ID. A longtime resident of Seal Beach, CA, Gordon served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Radio Technician during World War II. He was an accountant, avid golfer and a Masonic Lodge member for more than 50 years. Gordon was well known around Seal Beach for his daily trips to the San Gabriel River to feed the abandoned cats.

He is survived by his wife: Gladys; sons: Alan (Toni), Dale (Kim) and Paul (Dawn); step-daughter: Jackie Green; brothers Raleigh and Thayne; sister: Eunice Burrows, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Gordon’s brother Jerry preceded him in death.

Gordon will return to the California sun to his final resting place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cypress, CA. As a husband, father, and friend, he will be greatly missed.
