Andarge Adane Retta was born on March 24th 1952 in Mekele, Ethiopia. He passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on December 30th 2013.
He moved from Ethiopia to New York in 1973 at the age of nineteen. While in New York, he attended the State University of New York and graduated with a BA in Political Science.
Andarge was a kind soul who appreciated very much spending time with family whenever it was possible to do so. He was loving and courteous toward all of us. Above all he was a favorite brother, uncle, cousin and best friend to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.
Andarge is survived by his older sister Elfenesh Adane, cousins, nephews, nieces and his best friends.
