Reed Bailey, Age 94, Born Jan 19, 1926 passed away July 2, 2020 at 3:10pm of natural causes at Puyallup Nursing Facility with his daughter Lynda Hanson by his side. Reed was born in Breathitt county Kentucky. He joined the US Army in September of 1948. He traveled to Germany where he met and fell in love with his beloved “Margaretha”. They traveled the world together with the military and had a large family of 11 children. After 23 years of honorable service to our country he retired in April of 1971. He went on to a career in pipe fitting for Lockheed Ship building in Seattle. He retired from there in 1988. He lived a long and beautiful life filled with love for his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaretha who passed away on July 16, 2010 and sons Bill Bailey (November 1963), Herman Clemens (December 1984). He is survived by children Frank Bailey, Marylou Squires, Lynda Hanson, Anita Murray, Renee Lopes, Michelle Highcock, Chris Bailey, Marybeth Palomarez, Samantha Bellows, and 22 grandchildren, Alex Bailey, Tom Collins, Sherrie Carter, Angela Carter, Paul Schooley, Reed Murray, Edward Stay III, Areta Stacy, Danielle Stacy, Nicholas Lopes, Christopher Lopes, Justin Hurst, Rodney Kushmaul, Ryan Kushmaul, Darrius Palomarez, Koral Palomarez, Gabriella Palomarez, Tayevon Palomarez, Margaretha Bellows, Benjamin Hanna, Tracy Polk, Richard Clemens, and 20 great grandchildren, and 3 “great great” grandchildren. Reed will be remembered most for his sweet and gentle nature and for his love of family.

A celebration of life to follow at the residence of Lynda and Rob Hanson at 5310 80th St E, Tacoma, WA 98443. Pastor Jonathan Cross will be in attendance.
