Obituary for Ray Alvin Brown

Ray Alvin Brown was born on July 13, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on August 17, 2019 at Madigan Army Hospital surrounded by his children. He is survived by 3 children, Rainer Brown (Linda), Rayona Paris (Scott), and Rex Brown. He is predeceased by 2 children Robert Brown and Rene Faucett. Ray had 7 grandchildren Analise Brown (Rainer), Robyn Young and Rebecca Paris (Rayona), Evan Brown (Robert), and Amber Faucett, Steven Faucett, Darrell Faucett (Rene). He also has 10 great-grandchildren.
Ray retired from the US Army after 29 years of service. He had one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery under fire during his time in Vietnam. After retiring from the military, he worked for the US Department of Defense for many years. He left there to work as an Out-of-State Auditor for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries where he finally retired and devoted his time to family and friends.
Ray belonged to the Fraternal Order of Elks where he made many life-long friends. Ray loved his crossword, watching Jeopardy and playing cards.
Ray has surely found old friends and made new friends at a card table in eternal paradise.
