Obituary for Gay Odey Brandt

Gay Odey Brandt, 77, was born December 28th 1943 at Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, WA. Gay passed away October 26th 2021 after a month long battle with COVID-19 Pneumonia at St. Clare Hospital, Lakewood, WA. After graduation from Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma (1961), she attended Puget Sound College. Gay Married Gary Pierce and raised two children in Puyallup, WA.

Family and friends all loved her laughter, warmth and giving to others. Her friends were life long. Some beginning in school to the latest assisting her during her illness. She had many diverse hobbies, including reading, making greeting cards and playing games. Gay collected angel figurines, stuff bears, rooster figurines and recipe books. One of her passions included owning a race horse.

Gay is survived by her husband Robert Brandt, son Eric Pierce, daughter-in-law Tonya, and Gay's daughter Summer, Robert's son Kenneth Brandt, daughter-in-law Julia Brandt and Robert's daughter Karrie Knesel, son-in-law Aaron Knesel. There are 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who mourn her passing. You are loved Gay. Life is not the same without you.
