Obituary for Fred Allen Brown

Fred Allen Brown, age 84, passed away after a long battle with lung cancer on December 17th, 2022.

Born in a log cabin in Colorado Springs, Co. in 1938 to Curtis Ermiel Brown and Evelyn Mabel Brown (née Udel), he was the third of 4 children (Charlotte, Marion, Fred & Phil). The family moved to Bremerton, Wa. after the start of WWII where his father worked at the Naval Shipyard. After the war the family moved to Union st. Tacoma, Wa where he attended Franklin Elementary, Jason Lee Jr. High and Stadium High School – graduating in 1959. He spent as much time as possible out exploring the world around him, hunting and fishing with his longtime friends Bill Marshall and Gene Laken. In 1961, with his friend Gene, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserves for five years.

He married Audrey A. Bentler in May 1966 (div. 1979), moved to Federal Way Wa. and fathered three children: son William and daughters Georgia (Shreaves) and Colleen (Musselman).
He had a life-long love of camping, fishing, hunting and bar life. He lived a hard life at times, but passed away peacefully in the end. A friend of many and loved by his family.

He is survived by his younger brother Phil, his three children and 7 grandchildren.
