Elizabeth Peters passed on to heaven at the age of 96 on September 17, 2023. She was born to Charles and Lou Barnhouse on February 17, 1927, in Olympia, Washington.

Elizabeth married her husband, Donald Peters, in 1950. They made their home in Tacoma, Washington, where they raised their two children; Dorothy Williams (Ed) and Don Peters (Diane). Elizabeth enjoyed being a homemaker as she would sew, knit, garden and can fruit. She was always a good listener, and she enjoyed good friendships. Elizabeth was Grandma to four granddaughters; Bryn Peters, Jordyn Peters, Sarah Schooley (Matthew), and Hannah Williams.

For many years she was an active member at Fircrest United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, served on many committees, and sang in the choir. Don and Elizabeth did much camping and fishing until Don’s death in 1998. In later years, Elizabeth enjoyed her grandchildren and quite a bit of traveling.

Should anyone care to designate a gift in memory of Elizabeth, she requested many years ago that it go to Fircrest United Methodist Church or the church Food Bank.
