Obituary for Debra Lea McFadden

Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully in Tacoma WA at the age of 70. She will be forever remembered by her surviving family. Daughter Afton Ripley (James), sons Ryan McFadden and Jay McFadden and her two grandsons, Cody and Zac. Siblings, Donna Fees (Robert), Jan Kunchick and Sandy Nelson. Debra is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert McFadden and her parents and her two brothers.



Debra Lea was born December 8th, 1951 in Torrance, California to Edith Pearl Sleppy and Robert Lee Hampton. After living in California she moved to Puyallup WA.

Debra worked most her life as a radiation therapist throughout the Puget Sound, which was the perfect compliment to her nurturing spirit. Debra was well known amongst friends and family for her kindness and generosity. Her hobbies including doll making, baking and antiquing. She made an impression on everyone she met with her compassion and selflessness.



Debra spent most her days consumed with family events, whether it be the horse arena, hockey rink, football field, hosting parties, working with charities, or rousing nights of card games. She will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.



Celebrate Debra's life with her family and friends for a casual gathering Friday, January 7th, 2022, from 4-8 pm at Fruitland Grange 11102 86th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98373. In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Cancer Society.
