After a courageous battle against cancer, never losing her faith or spirit Celeste Cheri Fowler passed on April 13, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Gig Harbor, WA. She was born in Grants Pass, Oregon, but, grew up in Port Orchard WA where she graduated from South Kitsap High School. Upon graduation Celeste moved to Gig Harbor, WA where she lived with her fiancé Jon Sovern and was employed with Goodwill Industries.
Celeste is preceded in death by her grandparents Lawrence and Betty Nelson, Charles and Margaret Fowler and great grandmother Jessie Pankievich. She is survived by her father John Fowler, mother Nicolette Ehlers, sister Cheyenne Fowler, step-father Robert Ehlers, step-grandparents Pat and Linda McDonough and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
Celeste so loved working with the kids in the daycare so we ask that in lieu of flowers or cards that a donation be made to the Harbor Covenant North Campus children's camp fund In Celeste's name. A special account has been set up at Harbor Covenant Church, 5601 Gustafson Drive NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. Please put Celeste Fowler Camp Scholarship #23222 on your donation so that it will go to the camp account.
She will always be remembered for her contagious smile and ability to bring joy to those fortunate enough to have known her. The outpouring of love from family, friends, her church and medical staff was a testimony to what a lovely soul she was.
The family will be holding a memorial on 08/04/2018 in Ocean Shores, WA. Please refer to this site in August for further details.
