It’s hard to believe that it has been four months since you passed away. I think about you often and have been cherishing all of the wonderful memories that were made since I was a child. I remember my mom & I visiting when you still lived in California, annual trips to the ocean after you moved to Washington, and going hiking together (especially how you’d stop every few feet to admire all of the flowers, shrubs, and scenery - you really appreciated the natural beauty of the outdoors!). As an adult, you and my mom visited Troy & I at WWU and we drove up near Mt Baker on an old, bumpy forest service road looking for a waterfall hike. We missed the sign because the trees were overgrown and covered the trailhead marker. Eventually we turned around and found it and enjoyed the waterfall, but Troy almost drove off before all of us were in the car – you enjoyed giving him a hard time about that for years when we went somewhere together – telling him “now don’t drive away, Troy, we’re not all in the car yet!” I’ll cherish memories of having you and my mom over for Mother’s Day brunch every year, spending Christmas mornings together for breakfast at our home and then watching Aidan & Ethan open their gifts, and of course all of the family gatherings for birthdays, holidays, etc… The boys still have all of the beautiful books that you gave to them for special occasions since they were born; each containing a thoughtful inscription from you. Thank you for being such a special aunt. You are missed very much and will be remembered always. Love, Lisa

Brunie, Lila and I are truly saddened that God has called you home. You fought a brave battle against cancer and never gave up. I hope you are dancing with the angels and loving your time with Vati, Mutti and Dietmar. We love you and will surely miss you.

My dear Brunie may you rest in peace. You are now in the loving arms of Mutti and Vati and our little brothers and sister. Your battle with cancer is now over. We were always so very close since early childhood in Germany. I will always remember and cherish the wonderful times you and I had together. I so loved the numerous trips that we went on together, such as the ocean, Mt. Rainier, Bellingham, Levenworth, etc. and the 4-5 times a week that we would call each other so we would both know what show was on Animal Planet or Nat. Geo. Love you Brunie and am missing you so very much.

This comment is for Brunie from her grand kids other grandmother Mary Ann Cullivan. Brunie was not only someone I enjoyed knowing but she was a kind, thoughtful and loving grandmother even in the times when it had to be from afar. It was a gift to me knowing Brunie.
