Obituary for Arnold William Joringdal

Arnie was born in Thief Falls, Minnesota on October 30th 1930 and passed away March 18th 2022 in Tacoma, Washington.

He graduated from Lincoln High School, and retired after many years as manager of a GM parts department. He loved animals, helping people and 4-wheeling on his property in Eastern Washington. More than anything, he loved playing with his great grandsons. He travelled to Norway, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Australia and New Zealand. Arnold lived a life of kindness and caring, an example of how to be a good human being. We will miss his humor and advice, and are grateful that we had him for so long.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn; Parents Joseph and Gyda Joringdal, brother Roy, and sisters Gladys, June and Eleanor. He is survived by his children; Julie (Loren) Olson, Steven Joringdal and Mary (Ed) Hill. He is also survived by granddaughter Desiree (Colin) Gaffney and Great Grandsons Julian and Theo.

Viewing will be held on April 1st from 3pm-5pm at Tacoma Mausoleum. Graveside services will be held on April 2nd at 1pm at Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Aspen Chapel. Family suggested donations to the American Heart Association.
