CREMATION CONTAINERS A cremation container is a container that the body is placed in for the
cremation process. Cremation containers range from a mahogany unit to a
rigid, leak resistant, combustible, corrugated box. The family may
elect to have a funeral service or visitation with the body present in
the container selected. A direct cremation would consist of only family identification of the body in the cremation container. The family would
then be given the option of having a visitation or a memorial service
without the body present. Other containers are constructed of cherry, oak, pine and canvas cloth or gray flannel covered wood. Any hardwood
casket is acceptable to use as well. A cremation container constructed
of wood, similar to a hardwood casket used for burial, is available as
a rental container. |
